5 Winter Must-Haves

It's getting to be about that time where you gotta bundle up! But the Urban Cafe is dedicated to keeping you warm in style. Here are the top 5 Fashion Must-Haves that you'll be needing for the Winter Season:

                                  SHEARLING JACKETS
Shearling jackets are huge in fashion right now! They offer the perfect balance of tough (with the leather) and soft (with the fleece). These jackets give another spin on the aviator inspired look and have just the right amount of practicality to keep you warm for these next few months.

A designer's shearling jacket can cost you hundreds of dollars, but don't worry, Urban Cafe's got your back! You can find more reasonable alternatives at stores like JC Penney, Forever 21, and Target.

Here's a shearling jacket from JCPenney:

      INFINITY SCARVES

If you're anything like me, you can get pretty tired of wrapping your scarf around your neck over and over. Fashion gave us a new option called the infinity scarf! It goes in a circle so all you have to do is double it up instead of wrapping around and around like you would with a normal scarf. So it LITERALLY has no end (hence the name: infinity).

See how celebs are wearing them:

These scarves are especially nice if you're going for that big, billowy look with a nice military jacket underneath. You can find them at any department store or if you're feeling creative, you can crochet one for yourself!

                                  LACE TOPS/DRESSES

Lately, lace is a texture that you will see on everything from shirts to pantyhose. It has become so popular that people even have it on their shoes! For the woman that is a little more conservative, lace provides the perfect optical illusion to make people thing that they're seeing more than they really are!

Here, Zoe Saldana shows us how to use lacy in a sexy way. Definitely a daring style to rock for a night out! Just make sure you don't go overboard.

For those of you that are still warming up to this trend, there are plenty of lace alternatives where you don't have to show any skin at all. Check out this hot lace clutch from Express:

Don't sleep on the lace, ladies! We don't just use it for table cloths anymore!!!

                                  STATEMENT NECKLACES

Every few years accessories evolve. Popular accessories have gone everywhere from doorknocker earrings to belly chains, and this time we are going for BIG necklaces (also known as bib necklaces). They are wonderful because they can jazz up any boring outfit in no time flat! You can easily pair it with a nice black turtleneck for a chic and luxe look.

See how Rihanna transforms her simple black outfit with this statement piece:

The necklace instantly upgrades the look! Keep in mind ladies, if you use one big statement piece you have to keep the rest simple! No big doorknocker earrings, the necklace (possibly with a nice bangle) should be enough.

      LACE-UP SHOES

Whether you choose boots up to your knees or booties down to your ankle, lace-up shoes are the perfectly fashionable way to keep your feet warm. Lace-up boots are common in Romantic styles, but they're also very popular with bikers! This trend gives us another example for the mix of hard and soft that we're seeing lately.
