Uh Oh!! Porsha Williams Put on Blast by Producer for Stealing Syleena Johnson’s Song
Porsha Williams has been all over the blogs lately, but now the reality star is being blasted with accusations she stole a song for her upcoming EP.
It’s the song “Perfectly Worthless,” that we watched Porsha record on this past week’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Pierre Medor wrote and produced the song, but he was so upset with Porsha’s demo of the song he decided not to sell it to her.
Now, he’s alleging she stole the song for the show without his permission.
Pierre’s rep told TheYBF.com:
In the business more than one artist will record the same song hoping for the right outcome, as was the case with Perfectly Worthless. Porsha Stewart wanted a song, Pierre Medor wrote and produced this song in its entirety. Not having any previous point of reference for Porsha, we initially recorded the song for the purpose of determining her vocal abilities and how they would fit with this particular song; it was quickly determined that this song wasn’t the best match for her, so we chose not to sell her the song and notified her management of our decision.
The producer was completely shocked to hear his song on television and has began to seek legal action regarding the incident. The rep then goes on to throw all kinds of shade on Porsha:
“Perfectly Worthless” is a great song and she loves it…we get that. But just like every body doesn’t look good in spandex, every voice doesn’t fit every song. It’s just unfortunate that Porsha has chosen to create another delusional marriage with this song by airing it and claiming to have taken part in its creation.
Since Porsha didn’t get the song, it was later sold to R&B Divas star Syleena Johnson and will appear on her forthcoming album

NEW MUSIC: Drake - Draft Day
So yeah, Drake has a new single. I'm still not completely clear on who told him to make it (was it a contracted song between Drake and a professional league?), but whatever. The song samples Lauryn Hill's classic hit "That Thing".
Take a listen...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ7ENXz_mv4
I don't love it. I know a lot of Drake Stans will drink the Kool-Aid just because it's him, but I'm not too impressed with the lyrics or the use of the Lauryn Hill sample. That's just me. I could be hating.
What do you guys think? Potential Hit?

Jazmine Sullivan Is Back!
After a 3 year hiatus, our favorite songstress who isn’t scared to bust the windows out your car is back!
Jazmine Sullivan took to the stage at the KOKO Theater in London this weekend, where she performed tracks from her first two albums, 2008’s Fearless and 2010’s Love Me Back, and her own rendition of “Get Lucky” by Daft Puck and Pharrell Williams. Along with showing off those powerhouse vocals that we’ve so desperately missed, the 26-year-old soul star announced that her third studio project will drop later this year.
“I’m glad to be back guys,” she said as the crowd cheered. “It’s been awhile.”
Jazmine announced her departure from music industry back in January 2011. “I’m making an official announcement that I am taking a break from music. I’m trying to figure out who i am… w/out a mike, paper or pen,” she tweeted. “I promised myself that when it wasn’t fun anymore I wouldn’t do it. And here I am. I’m not saying I won’t ever sing again in my life becuz I don’t believe that. But in this moment… rt now… I got some things to figure out.”
In during the concert, Jazmin revealed that insecurities and an abusive relationship were also part of the reason she took a break from the spotlight. However, she ensured fans that’s she fully confident and ready to finish what she started.
If you ask us, she sounds better than ever! Check out footage from her show below.

Kelis has been laying relatively low on the music scene since her divorce from rapper Nas, but it seems like she's ready to make a full blown comeback!
This is the latest single from her upcoming album "FOOD". The video has a woodsy, outdoorsy look but is still very simple.
Take a look/listen...
What do you think of the track? Definitely a different sound from her traditional hip-hop sound.

NEW MUSIC: Uh Oh!! Jay Z Disses Drizzy Drake
While you were catching up on some much-needed sleep Jay Z was getting on Drake for talking about him...remember when Drake got his panties all in a bunch because Rolling Stone (not only replaced his cover with Philip Seymour Hoffman, who had suddenly passed away from a drug overdose) published “off the cuff” comments Drizzy made about Kanye West and Jay Z?
“It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without
at least four art references. I would love to collect [art] at some
point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of
corny,” Drake said without the intentions of it being published (so he says but he has to know better than that now). Well, the comments ran in Drizzy’s interview and Jay caught wind of it. Jay clearly felt a way about his words because he responded to them on Jay Electronica’s track “We Made It.”
“Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me,
rappin’ ’bout sh-t that I really bought/While these rappers rap about
guns that they ain’t shot/ And a bunch of other silly sh-t that they
ain’t got,” Jigga rapped before shouting out “12 Years A Slave” star Lupita Nyong’o.
“I’m on my Lupita Nyong’o/ Stuntin’ on stage after 12 Years A Slave/This Ace of Spades look like an Oscar
Black tux, look like a mobster.”
Black tux, look like a mobster.”
Do you think Drake should respond?

50 Cent Leaves Interscope, Takes G-Unit Records Independent
The announcement comes a day after XXL Magazine recreated the famous cover of Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent, but swapping out 50 for Interscope’s man in charge, Jimmy Iovine. Although 50 Cent had been alluding to his departure for some time, nobody really saw it coming. 50′s friend and former boss, Eminem, released a statement regarding the matter:
“Both myself and Shady Records are grateful to have had the chance to play a part in 50′s career. Shady simply would not be what it is without 50 Cent. I’ve developed a great friendship with 50 over the years, and that’s not going to change. We know 50 will have success in his new situation, and we remain supporters of both him and G-Unit.”
The deal that 50 Cent signed with Capitol Records puts him in a new place in his career. for the first time since he signed with Interscope 13 years ago, 50 will be an independent artist. The first project to come out under the Capitol label will be the G-Unit leader’s upcoming album “Animal Ambition.” The record is set to drop on June 3rd, but you can pre-order the album starting March 18th.
The relationship between 50 Cent and Capitol Records should be interesting considering 50 Cent was almost signed to the label quite a few times in the early 2000s. But Eminem and Interscope scooped him up first. Cheers to 50 Cent regaining his top spot in the music game.
Good Luck 50!

Future Suing Drake After Tour Removal
According to PageSix, the Nothing Was the Same rapper has effectively removed Future from his Would You Like a Tour trek, in light of a recent denunciation the Epic Records signee voiced about the Canadian’s latest studio project.
Billboard magazine Associate Editor Erika Ramirez quoted Future stating:
"Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do".
Once he read the interview, Drake was angry and demanded that Future be removed from the tour.
"Future was fired, but then negotiations started to bring him back late last week. But over the weekend, Future pulled out for good after Drake’s camp demanded he make financial concessions. Future, who was set to earn about $40,000 per gig, is set to file a lawsuit this week against Drake for lost wages, or about $1.5 million".
Jhene Aiko is reported to replace Future on the tour. Would You Like A Tour is scheduled to launch Friday, Oct. 18 at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA

NEW VIDEO: De La Soul - Get Away
Rap group De La Soul has released the single "Get Away" off their upcoming album You're Welcome. This is their first single since 2004's Grind Date.
The song has a simple, old school feel to it that forces the listener to pay attention to the lyrics. With lines like "I don't do it for the party, I do it for the body" it's easy to remember why De La has always been a well-respected hip-hop favorite.
