Yesterday DJ Cipha Sounds of Hot 97 made a derrogatory joke that he didn't have to worry about catching AIDS because he "doesn't mess with Haitian girls".
There was an immediate backlash of people who began protesting outside of Hot 97's office, demanding that DJ Cipha be fired.
Hot 97 released a statement saying that he was a "young man that simply made a mistake" and enrolled him in a cultural sensitivity program to better handle these situation.
In addition to the program, DJ Cipha is indefinitely suspended until further notice. He apologized to his listeners by regarding it as a tasteless joke.
What an idiot!!! With all that Haiti has been through lately, what makes him think that joke would be funny? FAIL.
