Martin Lawrence and 2nd Wife Call It Quits

Martin Lawrence, 47, and his wife Shamicka (pictured left), 37, are divorcing after less than two years of marriage, reports People.com.

Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together,” the couple said in a statement.

The couple was together for 15 years before marrying at their home in Beverly Hills in 2010 with close friends such as Eddie Murphy and Barry Bonds in attendance. Their daughters Amara, 7, and Iyana, 9, and Lawrence’s daughter Jasmine, 14, from a previous marriage were flower girls.
Lawrence was formerly engaged to “Saved By The Bell” star, Lark Voorhies, in 1993. He and first wife, former Miss Virginia USA Patricia Southall, divorced in 1997 after two years of marriage.
