When Bey announced that she was pregnant at last year’s MTV VMA’s during her “Love On Top” performance, we all watched and were surprised!!! The rumors took on a life all its own when Beyonce was spotted out in her tightest dresses and highest heels and even more so when she appeared on Autralian TV in an interview where she went to sit down and the fabric of her dress folded over, and seemingly crushed her unborn Blue Ivy. Another clouded reality was Beyonce’s pregnancy timeline. It seemed to flash before our eyes and th whispered rumors got louder.
“That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy,” Beyonce tells PEOPLE. “[I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
Even Bey’s mom, Tina Knowles was brokenhearted by the surrogacy rumors. “I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” Tina says. ”As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”
Tina went on to say that because of all of the love and support from loyal Beyonce fans, they’ve been able to deal with the “stupid rumors.”
