Kobe Bryant Offered $600,000 Per Game to Play in Italy
What lockout?
While the rest of the NBA is struggling to determine if they'll have a job this season, Kobe Bryant has already been offered $600,000 per home game with Italy's Virtus Bologna team.
But get this! The deal gets even better. If Kobe chooses to accept, the contract would begin on November 13th and would only run through the NBA lockout. Therefore, if the lockout ends midseason, Kobe is released from his contract with Virtus Bologna and can come back to his American team!
Kobe has not yet made a decision but is very connected to Italian culture (he lived there while his dad played) and speaks the language fluently. This could be a great opportunity!
We know that Kobe wants to stay close to his family but he would be crazy not to take this job offer! Times are hard for everybody, take the money where you can get it.
