Can we just talk about hairlines real quick?
I know this is old, but it's been bothering me and I need to speak on this. To all the black women out there, please let's be careful about how we treat our hairlines.
Years of weaves, tight braiding, or other tight styles can result in alopecia meaning your hair will not grow back.
Take a look at Naomi Campbell:
I mean...come on now! At this point, I'm gonna need you to put the weave down Nay-Nay! I understand that it feels good to have long, flowy hair. I know how addictive wake-up-and-go hairstyles can be. But when your forehead turns into a five-head
Sorry, boo. It's time to try something new!
nohate.
So, black women and their hair is a real sensative subject to me. First of all, I don't understand why we are afraid to show our real hair (because of the european standard of beauty which is a whole different blog....i really can't go there right now). And and what point is enough enough? You are trying so hard to be beautiful that you end up ugly? That's not cool. Just be yourself....Everybody knows your real hair doesn't look like that Naomi, you're not fooling anyone but yourself boo
