Hip-hop icons Russell Simmons and Jay-Z are planning a concert in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement, according Newsone.
“We are definitely discussing [a concert], Russell Simmons told
Billboard.biz. “We’re definitely looking to make a huge impact. We’re
actively working for permits. We’ll have one in our hands soon.”
The announcement comes just days after Jay-Z’s involvement in the movement was criticized when it was revealed that Rocawear, the clothing label Jay-Z founded, was selling Occupy Wall Street t-shirts.
I love artist that take a stand on politics!
