For those of you with dry hair or irritated skin, honey is a wonderful humectant to restore the natural moisture and balance of your body. Harsh elements and poor nutrition are some of the reasons why people suffer from problem skin and frizzy hair.
Honey can help calm rough or inflammed skin and add sheen to dry, untamed hair. I know it sounds crazy, but give it a try and you will see how SOFT and SMOOTH your body will feel after adding a little honey to your beauty regimen.
(and contrary to popular belief, you will not feel sticky after it's all done!)
For Hair:
- Shampoo as usual
- Get a moisturizing deep conditioner, mix 2 tbsp. honey into the conditioner.
- Apply to hair and put on shower cap/plastic wrap.
- Leave on hair for AT LEAST 10 mins.
- Rinse and style as usual!
- Mix 2 tbsp. of honey with 1/3 cup of oatmeal.
- Apply to clean skin and let it sit for 15 mins.
- Rinse and apply a light moisturizer.
